My nursing notes.: True love.  →
nursling: I walked in to my patient’s room around 9pm to check on her. I washed my hands off and stepped in past the curtain, which was partially drawn. My patient was sitting in a chair, as I had left her when I first came on shift. Across from Mrs. M. was her husband - they were both having dinner. This…

A&E nurse clinician Rob Jackson sees the results of knife crime first hand - and tells young people all about it. During my years as a Flight Nurse we would fly to High Schools with the helicopter and discuss drinking and driving or drug abuse. I’d get graphic; words are sometimes worse than pictures. When I used slides I was very aware of HIPPA, but the helicopter landing at scenes...

Tomorrow night I am going back to work!
theitunurse: & you know what? I cannot wait!  Bring me some of those alarms, crash calls, bed baths, serious conversations, stupid inflatable mattresses, mad rushes to CT, bed making sessions, head to toe assessments. Because, damn I’m getting bored.   Adrenaline now please.   LOL you need to get a life :)

Nurses are the light
The day breaks open with light piercing the darkness.   Such is your love of us and our care for others.  We give thanks for the skills that we have which allow us to reach out to others as a healing presence.  For some of us it is a technical skill while for others it is our way with words or our gentle touch.  We are gifted in so many different ways and we give thanks for our own particular...

Nurses are weird
Nurses are the strangest people and yet we are the best people. A lot of us are very flawed and I think maybe it gives us empathy and an understanding of the people we take care of. We are human often hilarious, with warts and all we are beautiful. The average person would be appalled at the things that get discussed at lunch. I know if you are a nurse you know what I'm talking about. We are a fricken weird bunch LOL.
